The one change I made (sense there wasn't that much antifreeze in my expansion tank) I didn't open the drain plug on the bottom of the engine.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

1 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

FYI........I used the DIY instructions from the Rennlist thread on this subject and changed my expansion tank. The dealer quoted me about $700 plus to what amounted to a two hour job and $210 in parts. I purchased the discounted tank, new sensor and cap from Sunset Porsche in Oregon. (be sure to mention your calling for discount prices). The one change I made (sense there wasn't that much antifreeze in my expansion tank) I didn't open the drain plug on the bottom of the engine. I simply captured the amount that spilled out from the tank in a pan under the car and discarted. Topped off and and follwed bleeding procedure. Thanks for the help guys.
