Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

One of my factory xenon bulbs burnt out today so I search Sylvaia and it said that my 2003 C4S uses D1S bulbs.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

8 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

One of my factory xenon bulbs burnt out today so I search Sylvaia and it said that my 2003 C4S uses D1S bulbs. So I went out and purchased a set. Turns out the ones in my headlights are completely different. Any idea what bulb is in there from the factory? D2S, D2R etc? Thanks in advance!

POST 2Original post

Have you checked your manual? It has all of the bulb specs. Do you have bi-xenon?

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

The manual just gives me a Porsche part number. I do not have bi-xenon.

POST 4Original post

Are you sure you have Xenons? The regular headlights are projectors.

Here is a copy of the bulb specs from teh '04 manual. The right hand column gives the general bulb specs (i.e. Type & Rating).

POST 6Original post

Is there an easy way for me to tell what kind of lights are on my '02 C4 cab? The car didn't come w/ a window sticker, so I'm speculating on options...

POST 7Original post

Quotes source post: 4708365

If they look like this (see pic) they are bi-xenon lights. The silver disk is a dead give away. It is the cover for the headlight washers, which are required for xenon lights.

POST 8 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I know for sure I got HID/Xenon lights from the factory. I also have the silver/chrome discs on my lights Thanks for that spec sheet. Sylvania's website is totally wrong.. they say it's a D1S when in reality it's really a D2S thanks for the clarification! So if anyone does a search or needs to know.... the HID bulbs in our cars is a "D2S"
