Read evidence and context
Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

0 original-poster resolution reports. Counts can overlap; they are not unique people or a success rate.
0 discussions have direct query context; 0 report a fix in that context. Other evidence may inherit the discussion’s subject.
Leading evidence: 'Test front fans' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Check sensor between the #4 and 5 intake manifold' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

OP - Did you check the sensor between the #4 and 5 intake manifold?

Check if the sensor is properly plugged in and check the wire run for damage.

Anyway Ill be talking to my guy because I also want to take the front bumper off and clean between the radiators.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

It rarely comes on.
Find someone with a Durametric and they can test it for you.
I tested one today for a Rennlist member.
I also have a spare so I can easily test whether it is a faulty fan or wiring.
In 7 months of ownership I have never seen it turn on. Squirrel turn it on with the durametric. Anyway anyone knows when what temp etc it Ill come on? Thanks a bunch squirrel 🐿
From the service manual...
"Switch-on conditions for engine compartment fan (this fan pulls air into the engine compartment) The engine compartment fan is switched on when the engine compartment temperature is > 176 degrees F or the coolant temperature is > 216 degrees F.
After-running of engine compartment fan
If the ignition is switched off and the engine compartment temperature is more than 140 degrees F, the
DME
control module remains in readiness for another 20 minutes. During this time, the engine compartment temperature is retrieved every 10 seconds. If the engine compartment temperature is > 185 degrees F , the engine compartment fan is switched on for 20 seconds. If the engine compartment temperature is still > 185 degrees F after this time, the fan remains on for a further 30 seconds."
^^this is great info^^ I didnt believe my engine compartment fan worked until I was able to test it via durametric. It did and does... Has never come on by itself though - I guess it just never gets that hot!
I taught my fan was bad. Anyway squirrel 🐿 turn it on yesterday with the durametric. He also tested my front fans. The driver side does not works on low but turns on on high. Squirrel said is a resistor. Anyway Ill be talking to my guy because I also want to take the front bumper off and clean between the radiators. Plus some other small stuff.
OP - Did you check the sensor between the #4 and 5 intake manifold? Check if the sensor is properly plugged in and check the wire run for damage. Also look at the connector to the fan itself, mounted underneath engine deck lid.

Is the sensor part number if the sensor checks bad and itll cost you about $20.
