Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I've contacted Porsche and the PCNA club for support...the more people get involved the better...I really don't want to replace my unit yet...

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

10 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Has anyone been able to get new update discs since 2004? It uses a cd rom. In 2005 Porsche swithed to dvd rom.

POST 2Original post

Not all the cars switched in 05. I did get the upgraded pack for the 05my. You can call Navtec and read off your numbers on you disks to them and they will tell you what is the latest load. They will sell to you also and if I remember correctly the price is around $175

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I have spoke to navtech and they are saying there is no update. They said Porsche is doing the updates in house now. And they have none.

POST 4Original post

That is what they tried to tell me but I kept asking pointed questions and they finally said they do have updates and would I like to order one

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

do you have a update # (2004.1) or newer? What dealer did you get it from? Thanks, Steve

POST 6Original post

got it from Porsche North Scottsdale. mine is 2004-1 PNA52200305CD This is later than what came with the car

POST 7Original post

from my understanding, porsche will not update past the (2004.1) CD. Navteq obviously has the data, as they do for almost every car manufacturer, but Porsche does not want them to update. they instead want you to update to a car with the DVD system. Navteq has told me the only way is to keep hounding PCNA, but say it is not realistic as Porsche is continuing to hold out for a new update. doesn't make much sense, as it really does not cost Porsche any extra money.

POST 8Original post

Thank you. I'm going to send an email as a starter
