This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

13 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi guys, just removed the original "S" emblem from the back of my C4S for a red one. how do i remove the left over glue that was left on the car wihtout damaging the paint? what solvent do you guys recommend? thx, John

POST 2Original post

You should be able to get the remaining glue off by rubbing with your fingers. Then use some paint polish. Wax after you apply the new one as you don't want to apply the new "S" on a freshly waxed surface. I switched my "Boxster" logos a couple years ago. BEFORE: AFTER:

POST 4Original post

If you need to, use Goo-Gone. It's safe to use on painted surfaces, but clean it after you are done, and wax over coz' the Goo-Gone strips everything off.

POST 5Original post

Hi, I recently did this as well.....replaced my gray "s" with the red "s"....bought it from that guy on ebay. Anyhow, my red "s" came with an alcohol swab/pad, which removed the glue fairly easily and has no impact on the paint. good luck and make sure you have the bottom of the "4" properly lined up under the carrera portion just right before you press it down. J

POST 8Original post

on ebay...or Eric from bumperplugs may have them too.

POST 9Original post

Just did a search on ebay....can't seem to find the guy who sells them. I think mine was about 25 or 30 bucks shipped. It was a new "4S", but I only used the "s" portion. No cutting needed. I bought mine from him outside of ebay....I'll try to get his info...I think I still have the box. I had it 2 days after I paid. J

POST 10 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

bought it from Eric from Bumperplugs.com, might be more expensive than what JBRipps paid for. dont remember exactly how much. ~$75 i think... john
