Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I am getting tired of my BMW 5 series and I can't use my Ferrari as a DD.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Just joined Rennlist!! Hopefully, within the next month or two, I will be buying my first Porsche. I am getting tired of my BMW 5 series and I can't use my Ferrari as a DD. So Porsche ownership, here I come!!
Welcome - good luck with the search, post potential cars and get some feedback. It might help you to understand what you are seeing (or not seeing)
AND
from the pic it looks as though you are/were in the service.. IF SO, I want to thank you for your service to our country.
Thanks for the kind words. I was in the Army Reserve for over 20 years and my unit was mobilized in 2004 for one year. I took the picture as we were crossing the border from Kuwait to Iraq. But I retired about 2 years ago. Too old to keep up with the 20 year olds! LOL!! As for the military paying alot???? I was a Major with over 20 years of service and my pay was about $50K for the year. That is alot less than what I make as a CPA in my full time job. But there is no greater honor or privilege than to serve this great country of ours!! I am looking at a 2000-2001 911 coupe. I am doing my research now so that in the March/April timeframe, I will be prepared to pull the trigger.
2000-2001, I think that's what I have.... Where do you want me to send the car, I accept Paypal
That's a long time to be in a hostile place, glad you are home.
Another Jersey guy
There is a nice looking 02 for sale at a sweet price right on the forum, you can access the member For sale forums, V-tach has a nice coupe for sale.
Check the East region board here-when the weather is good we have a great meet in Chatham on occasion, with some incredible cars. Cars and Croissants is the thread to keep an eye on. Open to all sports cars, not just Porsches.
Damian, I have been to Cars and Croissants a couple of times with the F car. Alot of fun and incredible cars. We need to catch up when Kirk sets up the dates this spring.
Marc, I looked at that car. Absolutely beautiful. The only way my wife will let me buy another sports car is if the car is a tiptronic so she can drive it. Sacrifies we make for the spouses!!
very nice. welcome and thanks for your service. I did 13 years and the wife couldn't take to raising 2 kids with me going on a second + tour. It has made a big difference at home.
Sorry
I'm lucky, my wife is cool with manuals, Her Audi is a 6 speed.
She rarely drives the 996 anyways and she is scared of the 86 911
What town are you in?
I'll jump in.....also Porsche hunting and also from JOISEY. Exit 4, yeah I'm a Southener...yee haw!
Looking forward to hopefully soon meeting up with "yooz" on one of these cruises when I make the purchase!
Good luck with your search!!
Welcome and all. You're out of uniform soldier
What alls involved in taking a ferrari engine out? Have you ever tried your own maint and svc on it? Also what MOS's were you running with?
An engine out service on a 348 runs about $7K and it has to be done every 5 years. At a minimum, I get the oil changed every year. That is cheap - $200. I am not too handy when it comes to fixing the F car, but I have an independent Ferrari technician near my home that is half the price of the Ferrari dealership. Funny, but I am an Armor officer by training - M1A1 tanks. I was cross leveled to a port operations battalion. What did I know know about ports - nothing! But I was put into a branch immaterial slot and went over for a year. After one year, I learned a hell of alot about ships! But kicked some Iraqi butt and was awarded the Bronze Star.
Nice to hear you are doing well now. Glad to see the reserves paid off big time to get you out of the east coast. Funny how a couple sheets of paper can save a guy from the same old job at home.
