Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I hate to tell you, but SciFrog is probably pretty darned close to what it will cost.
BUT!!!
Read the DYI's and throw in an engine air filter, do it all yourself, and your looking at $150. $100 w/o the engine air filter. It will take 1 hour tops.
Only the clueless would pay $700, and since they are clueless, deserve to pay that much.
Cabin Filter - $32
9 qts Mobil 1 $45
Oil Filter $16
crush washer .12
Add if necessary: Every 2 year brake fluid change out - 2 bottles Dot 4 fluid $12.
Is there anywyhere to get the cabin filters cheaper... I have found oil filter kits on ebay, including the rubber ring, crush washer and filter for pretty cheap like you quoted orient.....
Believe it or not, the cabin filter is made of the same filtration material as some of the better 3M furnace/air conditioner filters.
Some folks just get one of these filters at Home Depot, and cut it to size, and use some thin cardboard to make the sides. A large $10 furnace filter makes 4-6 cabin filters.
Pelican parts has the older style cabin filter with out the carbon impregnations for like $16. That's where I got mine. The newer carbon one is like $54!

Yeah thats understandable, but the seller had very high feedback, had the original box, with the part number that loren used in his renntech oil change post, so I thought I was pretty safe, plus the seller had 2 that were unused so he shipped them for 1 price...
Mom, is that you?
Seriously, I'll never get over the mentality of being skeptical of "eBay stuff". No one babysits my brick and mortar purchases to ensure I don't get screwed; why would anyone expect that to happen online?
