Alright, I searched high and low, both here and on google, anyone have any experience replacing the spare tire?

Alright, I searched high and low, both here and on google, anyone have any experience replacing the spare tire? I have rim and ect but don't want to pay the dealer tons of cash for a collapsible spare, suggestions on where to get one? Not only a flat in the parking lot but a blowout of the spare on the way home... talk about an annoying day. Should have called AAA to begin with and just flatbedded! Also - this is for my 996 it is an '01
Redridge - I could be wrong but I believe that is a spare for a C4 or C4S. Since the 4-wheel drive frone differential takes up some of the room in the trunk, Porsche needed a lower profile spare tire because the spare is located more to the front of the car than in the C2 cars and the C2 spare would not fit under the trunk lid in a C4/C4S. Since it is collapsible, you need to have a pump to inflate it which was included with the C4 and C4S.
Can one of the C4 C4S owners will verify this?
you are right, that is for a c4... but the OP asked for a collpsible, no?... it is vague which one he wants then...
edit... or does he just wants the tire since, he has the rim?
no, it's just a spare, I am going to call around right now. The dumb a$$ guy that replaced the real tire told me it was a "dealer only" however looking at it again I think I jumped to the complex solution too soon. Maybe just call another goodyear place to take care of it!
