Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Does anyone know the specs on the 3.6 N/A fuel pump. What PPH is it? I am asking because due to some recent performance upgrades, I may require a more powerful pump. Does the GT3 move more PPH? What about the Turbo fuel pump? Could either of these fit the 3.6 N/A engine?

POST 2 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

bump Does anyone know where to get a more powerful fuel pump for the N/A 996?

POST 3Original post

The stock pump is more than you will ever need in a NA 996. No performance upgrade you can do will require more fuel than a properly functioning stock unit will provide. If the pump is working properly, better look elsewhere for your problem.

POST 4Original post

I've never found a good source of information on a lot of the components in these cars. I thought finding something as simples the flow rate of injectors would be no big deal but even the dealers couldn't answer the question.

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Do they upgrade the fuel pump when you add a supercharger? If so, I think I may need one, if not, I'm set. Its more precautionary than a necessity at this time.

POST 7Original post

Disconnect fuel line, time how long it takes to fill a milk jug. Convert from there.

POST 8Original post

Stock injectors have a flow rating of 22.75 lbs/hr at 43.5 psi, however, Porsche uses a higher psi of about 55 which will bring the flow to a little over 25 lbs/hr.

POST 9Original post

Porsche technical documentation states a flow rate of 80L/hr. Todd

POST 10 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

sounds about right. All I needed fellas. Thank you.

POST 11Original post

Don't think you can extrapolate flow at pressure from unrestricted flow.
