I AM USING THE MEGUIARS NXT WAX WHICH WAS RECOMMENDED BY A FRIEND WHO HAS A BLACK WRX.
Leading evidence: 'Use meguiars nxt wax' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, the most frequently mentioned possible cause is 'best result' (1 discussions; 0 report identifying it and 1 suggest it). The most frequently discussed action is 'Clean before and you may want' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

Your problem is probably that you used the NXT as a polish, when in fact it's just a last step product or synthetic sealant.

All waxes that I have used, regardless of price or brand, never failed to put a good shine on my cars.

The Duragloss line is probably the best result on black for the money.

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.
20 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

I WAXED A SMALL AREA AROUND THE GAS FILLER CAP TO REMOVE SOME SLIGHT SCRATCHES AND NOTICED THAT A SLIGHT FOGGY AREA REMAINS AFTER WIPING THE WAX OFF. I AM USING THE MEGUIARS NXT WAX WHICH WAS RECOMMENDED BY A FRIEND WHO HAS A BLACK WRX. HOPEFULLY THIS WILL WIPE OUT WITH A LITTLE ELBOW GREASE. ANY RECOMMENDATIONS FOR PORSCHE BLACK. A FELLOW PORSCHE OWNER MADE THE COMMENT THAT SOME WAXES WILL LEAVE A WHITISH FOGGY LOOK ON BLACK PORSCHE VEHICLES. ANY ADVICE WOULD BE APPRECIATED.

Oh, and that key labeled 'Caps Lock', you should hit that, once.
Ben in the 99_ forum has a detailed write up for

chip fixing
etc.
If you stop yelling, I'll hunt it down for you
Oh, and I'm not on the "search" patrol today, but I just used it, so I know it works.

I had a black daily driver for 5 years, I tried everything once. And I mean EVERYTHING. I could open a detail shop with all the stuff I never finished. I was an art student for 10 years so I fixate on clarity of colors, light reflection, bla bla.
But I can tell you that in my opinion, most over the counter waxes will do an excellent job and the high end stuff are all nearly identical in results. The difference really is in ease of use, durability and how well they get along with products from other brands(compatibility). It takes a very well trained eye to spot a car detailed with one line and same car detailed with another. If the car is well prep'd before the waxes go on there is little if any difference between the high end brands in terms of end result. The road getting there is the difference.
Here's my suggestion.
Menzerna Intensive Polish "Stage" 1 and 2 to correct the paint.
I really question the need for sealants on enthusiast cars where deataling is done frequently. So I'll say skip it.
Then a nice layering of Poorboy's Natty's Blue (wait about 4 hours between the 1st and 2nd layer). Don't make the mistake of getting the regular Natty's which is really for lighter cars.
and here's the best part enacapsulate it with FK1 425 to create the slickest finish I have ever felt.
This slippery finish will cut down on the dust and preserve the wax, in my experience it maintains the pop of carnauba waxes which typically start to dull after two weeks. If they didn't only sell direct I would sign up to be dealer.
Your problem is probably that you used the NXT as a polish, when in fact it's just a last step product or synthetic sealant.
If you had some micro surface marring to start with, you probably needed to use a proper polish and perhaps a random orbit polisher like the Porter Cable first.
Then use your last step product like NXT.
A polish like Sonus Swirlbuster is designed for Porter Cable use and works really effectively on black cars.

Works really well to make the black a nice deep color, as well as removing swirls etc, and you can then top off with NXT as I did here.
Again, use the PC to apply the NXT, wait 30 mins for it to really cure and haze over on the car, and then buff it off either by hand or PC.
Another good tip is to wipe down after the last step product (NXT) using the NXT quick detailer, to remove any residue and dust from the paint.
Just use a soft MF cloth in nice long linear strokes with minimal pressure, and turn the cloth frequently as you spray and buff.
I think that will get you the look you're after.
Rejex will keep great paint in excellent condition, and is far easier than any Zaino product I've ever used.
That said, if your paint is not 99% or better, you'll need other products first.
Just my 2 cents.
Zaino and Rejex produced nearly identical finishes in my experience with both.
Rejex wasn't as easy to remove as Zaino but...
Rejex is lower in price and gets along with other products better than Zaino...but the Zaino shine lasted much longer than the Rejex.
For the best results you have to buy **all** of Zainos products because its finicky when you come near the car with other brands. That's a deal breaker for me because I like to try new products without worrying about compatibility.
p.s.
The Duragloss line is probably the best result on black for the money. You can find allot of them at NAPA stores and they have very low shipping rates. Make sure you try the Aqua Wax spray. It's just as good as Zaino's equivalent, except the Aqua Wax is only $8 for a big bottle that will last you a while.
I couldn't agree with you more!
Exactly what I always say when asked the question about what I use.
The mind tends to believe that more expensive products will give better results.
In fact, they are all about the same, your car's surface condition (and how you prep it) is the most important factor,
if that is not good to begin with, you can use the most expensive product, it still won't work.
On the other hand, use Turtle spray-on wax on a brand-new car and it looks awesome.
My opinion is, ease of use and durability, at a reasonable cost, are the most important qualities of a good wax.
All waxes that I have used, regardless of price or brand, never failed to put a good shine on my cars.
Pics don't really show the true results anyway, they all look good in pics.
If you shoot with enough lighting effects, like colored lights, sunset, etc, any decently waxed surface will be impressive.
These pics were shot in plain sunlight/shade.
Get an expert to examine the shine, and touch/feel the smoothness...I bet he won't be able to tell what product was used.
Turtle Wax (Spray-on Quick Wax):
Meguiars NXT:
Which Zaino should we choose for original paint? There is Zaino for Clear Coat, Zaino for non-CC. There is Zaino AIO. Mine is a white 86.5.
Thanks

As long as your paint is close to flawless, go with Mequiars Mirror Glaze No. 7 Show Car Glaze. This is part of Meguiars Professional Series of products, so you may have to look around to find it. I learned about it from car show winners and it does work. I am 3 for 4 on trophies with Mirror Glaze with nothing to show for Zaino.
Make sure your car is washed clean before and you may want to strip the existing wax off the surface with a product like clay magic. I do need to warn you, the shine form this wax is so intense that it will make any imperfections in the paint extremely noticeable. I would not advice using this wax if you have a lot of paint chips that you covered up with touch up paint or if you have any minor dents. Door dings become easily noticeable after using this wax. If you have a ess perfect surface, you are better off with more common waxes like Mequiars Cleaner-Wax or Zaino.
Zaino is not wax, but a polymer sealant.
You have several options depending on the time you want to spend. Prep is very important.
Wash, clay bar, wash, Z-6, Z-5pro (or Z-2pro) with ZFX, Z-6 (or 8)...repeat up to 3 times. OR
Wash, clay bar, wash, ZAIO, Z-8 or ZCS, Or of course there are others sequences. I just tried ZAIO and was happy, but I already have a nice Z-5/Z-2 base. Check out the Zaino store or autopia.org for other options.
I've been using Mother's products for years and have been extremely happy with the results. For waxes, I'll either use a liquid or hard wax, depending on time constraints. I apply all of the products by hand and remove with a PC orbital buffer.
