Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

11 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

1 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

I too love the M030 ROW as it solved all my Autobahn issues here in Germany!

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

(as if we needed it) Exhibit 2, lifting a tire while cornering: that should settle it... It's typical 911 ;-) I love my new M030 ROW, and next time I'll have newer pads and brake fluid !!!

POST 2Original post

I too love the M030 ROW as it solved all my Autobahn issues here in Germany! By the way nice pics but have we not seen them before? Other than that most of us know the 996 is a real 911 but you may never get some of the air heads to realize that since they think we are full of water

POST 3Original post

Other than that most of us know the 996 is a real 911 but you may never get some of the air heads to realize that since they think we are full of water It's not an either/or proposition. Although I use to own a 993 and have never owned a 996, I appreciate both cars equally. As with everything else they both have strong points and challenges. Moreover, I would be surprised if the vast majority of 993 owners don't feel the same way that I do. Please don't mistake a vociferous minority of 993 owners as being indicative of how all 993 owners think.

The key to staying sane when spending time on internet forums.

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

>pics but have we not seen them before? The only way you'd have seen them before is if you were taking them for me... That was at sebring 2 weeks ago, I got the CD in the mail yesterday ! And the new underwear just arrived too (my brake pedal went to the floor at 130 mph on the back straight - my bad, old fluid, and I did sense it was coming, but still, it was a moment)

POST 6Original post

Greg -- I was there for the PBOC drivers ed event on the 19th and 20th. Could you believe those love bugs? I'm waiting for my cd to arrive in the mail. This was my first DE in 3 1/2 years and my first with the 996. I could not believe how it pulled and how long I could stay in a lower gear without hitting the rev limiter compared to my 993. I could not use wide open throttle as much as before with the 95 993.

POST 7Original post

LOL. Not having brakes at 30 MPH would cause me serious concern. Not having brakes at 130 would certainly require a change of underwear. Happy to see that it turned out OK for you.

POST 8Original post

These comparisons are always ridculous. Each car has its own attributes, and I do think that each 911 represents the best 911 they can make at that point in time. They are all different, but all valuable to the history of Porsche.

POST 9Original post

Great Pics!!! That gets me really excited for my upcoming DE in 2 weeks.

POST 10Original post

Fast1, I do understand it is more of a running joke. I love the 993 for what it is as 90+% of 993 owners love the 996 for what it is. Both are great cars and both have some issues.
