Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

0 original-poster resolution reports. Counts can overlap; they are not unique people or a success rate.
0 discussions have direct query context; 0 report a fix in that context. Other evidence may inherit the discussion’s subject.
Suspected cause
Problem is having the things fixed to your original specs might be expensive.
Leading evidence: 'having the things' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, the most frequently mentioned possible cause is 'having the things' (1 discussions; 0 report identifying it and 1 suggest it). No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.
Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

As stated in the letter below to DPS, I relied on subscriber feedback before giving my business to DPS MotorSports. I am extremely unsatisfied with my experience and I feel it necessary to inform others of the issues I had with my $2800.00 order.
"Dayton -
This is regarding your sales order 403832, dated 4/16/07 that arrived to me today. The job consisted of the following:
Repair and painting of a rear wing, which I sent and arrived to you on 4/20/07.
Painting of an aero front bumper which I purchased from you. The bumper was to have the center grill hole cut out (per the sales order) and the screens attached (per our phone discussion).
Painting and attachment to the bumper of a MKII front splitter/spoiler which I purchased from you.
Painting of the left and right aero side skirts which I purchased from you.
The job was not executed per our agreement in the following ways:
The delivery time of 5 weeks seemed a bit excessive, but I would have overlooked it if there would have been attention to detail and the job .
The repair of the two "hood pin" holes in the rear wing is satisfactory, however the paint finish on the wing is laden with defects caused wither by air bubbles or dust particles (I'm not a paint expert, so I don't know the origination of the defects). Either way, it looks bad and will need to be repainted.
The paint finish on the front bumper is mediocre, but is usable. The bigger issues are the center hole was not cut out and the grill screens were not attached.
The front splitter was not attached to the bumper per the job spec. We specifically discussed how you would need to drill new mounting holes for it and the exact color you were going to paint the splitter. Further, the splitter was not even included in the shipment.
The overall lack of quality and attention to the details of the order are quite concerning and to be honest, very upsetting given the time I've been waiting for the parts. At the very least I'm requesting a refund on the cost of painting the rear wing, the amount I will have to spend to have the front bumper cut and screens mounted and for the full cost of the painted/mounted splitter that was excluded from you shipment.
I relied upon information on the Renn List Forum for giving my business to DPS Motorsports and feel the obligation to share my experience with subscribers, so I'll be posting the letter to the board. In fairness, I will also post how these issues were resolved by you and DPS.
A quick response. I'll post the final resolution.
"Patrick,
Thats completey my fault. I had the guys rush this order and air freighted the shippment to you ($600.00) to have it to you by the weekend.
I now realize that there was an extra part I was supposed to handle myself and missed it. I didn't look at the order notes before shipping.
What ever you feel is a fair refund amount I will glady take care of Patrick. We just got about 70 paint orders at the same time I dropped the ball.
Sorry about that.
Cheers
Dayton"
Looks like they are willing to take full responsibility and make it right. I cannot wait to see the results (all the parts on the P-car).
All the best!
Wow, that was handled proper. I have personally dealt with DPS and seen their shop and wouldn't expect a mistake like this, but sure enough, what a response.
I've order my entire aerokit (painted) from Dayton...and though I wouldn't say he's the most organized guy in the word (I also had to wait a long time, wrong electrical harness etc) he does make up for the mistakes. I think that you are looking for things to be timely etc, I wouldn't go the DPS route, but if you want a good price and don't care about timing, then Dayton will eventually take care of everything!!!
you know i ordered my GT3 front bumper from DPS via Ebay (also waited a very long time with no response to my email) despite the wait I kicked myself for not having had them paint if for me. After reading this I don't feel so bad. Paint work should always be examined at the shop before taking it home. In the past I've needed to have jobs at well respected shops redone two and three times because the paint booth was not clean enough and dust got under the clear coat, especially on Black..
I think DPS needs to hire more people, this customer service thing has been an issue for a long time now.
I've reffered lots of business to them.
Dayton is a good Guy. Very accomodating and I find his business ethics fair. He may be busy doing race cars but just keep trying and he will always reply.

While it seems that thing may be delayed here and now with the shop, I must say that it's very rare to see someone react so swifly to the needs and complaints of the customer. I am very impressed with Dayton and his level of professionalism.
Too bad they didn't address the issues to begin with.....guess they gotta work on that a bit. In any event....sounds like a real stand up guy.

I think I ordered my exhaust from them....they were very slow, but very helpful and responding like this is showing good costumer service. Problem is having the things fixed to your original specs might be expensive.
