This is not a probability of success.

I had to get the car inspected also, but they did that during the PPI and filled out the basic form Wayne needed.

In fact, my local Porsche dealer recommended against a warranty and told me that the company they usually do business with is in flux.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Greetings:
I am new to the forum. I came over from M5Board as I just switched from an M car to a P car.
I just purchased an '02 C2 Cab privately with 58K miles on the clock. The car is clean and has been well cared for and dealer maintained. The clutch has 8,000 miles on it, the brakes and tires are new and the 60K service was dealer completed before I bought it. Has not had a RMS issue (yet).
For protection, I am considering an aftermarket warranty.
I have read the majority of threads and posts on aftermarket warranties and understand the suspicion with regard to ethics, company solvency, etc. that exists with aftermarket warranty companies . In fact, my local Porsche dealer recommended against a warranty and told me that the company they usually do business with is in flux. Warranty Direct will not warranty the car because it is an '02.

Prior to initiating the warranty, I would have to have my car privately inspected at my cost by a mechanic of my choice.
I would appreciate any and all comments and suggestions.
Is this worth it and does it make sense?
Consensus?
Thanks, in advance.

I bought a warranty from Wayne on our 04 Cayenne S and they have covered the few things I needed. I had to get the car inspected also, but they did that during the PPI and filled out the basic form Wayne needed.
I have the same one...I think a $0 deductible costs an extra $50 which IMO is worth it. I haven't had to use it yet so no comments on how well it works.
They do cover RMS.
My only concern is if the intermix problem occurs, will they cover it? Not entirely sure.
thanks,
Amir
