Based on how they handled the warranty claim and final resolution, I would definitely recommend working with them.

I went through quite a bit trying to diagnose it : battery, ABS pump/module testing, multiple scans and programming attempts, before Porsche finally found that the VIN and transmission coding in the DME were incorrect.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I had a fairly complicated DME issue that ended up involving coding, ABS/PSM faults, and an internal ECU problem. It took some time and a few different diagnostic steps to get to the bottom of it. To their credit, ECU Doctor reviewed the case, stood behind their work, and ultimately agreed to replace the ECU at no charge. They are also including their performance tune as a goodwill gesture, which I really appreciate. A big shoutout to the team for working through the issue and making it right. Based on how they handled the warranty claim and final resolution, I would definitely recommend working with them.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Backstory: I originally sent the DME to ECU Doctor because of an O2 sensor fault. They tested the DME, said it was in good condition, performed the work, and sent it back. After reinstalling it, I suddenly had ABS/PSM faults that had not been there before. I went through quite a bit trying to diagnose it : battery, ABS pump/module testing, multiple scans and programming attempts, before Porsche finally found that the VIN and transmission coding in the DME were incorrect. The car was even being identified as Tiptronic despite being a manual. Once Porsche corrected the DME coding, the ABS/PSM issue was resolved. The original O2 issue came back, so I sent the DME back under warranty. ECU Doctor then found an internal board fault and decided the ECU needed to be replaced. Tthey reviewed the history, agreed to replace the ECU at no charge. So while it was a frustrating process, they ultimately stood behind their work and made it right.
