Unfortunately, there are no local dealers in Toronto that I found where i can get a test fit of the rim...

If the 18's end up looking "silly" then we'll likely swap them with the winter tires and use the turbo twists in the summer.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

We may get a set of Victor Equipment wheels for my father's C4S. (LeMans 18"). I have read a few older posts - didn't find anything "scary" about them. Any more recent opinions from anyone using them?
Just looking for a nice set of "around the town" rims - they make 18x11 and 18x8 with a near "perfect" offset fo the widebody. And for about $1350 CAN shipped to my house for all four? Hard to pass up...
Thanks!
Below is a pic of the rims on another widebody 996 (not same colour car as his though...)
They are nice , I'm familiar with this brand. The 1 piece are quality rims for a good price. THey also make a 3piece rim but a bit pricier and more rim options open up by then.
The rims are new and are sold in your neck of the woods - assuming you are willing to cross the river to Vancouver! Not sure on posting non-sponsored companies - will PM you the link.
Cheers!
I had those same wheels in 19" when my car was a street car. They are very heavy, but that was my only complaint. The local vendor for them in LA was easy to deal with.
Yah they look nice but I'm spoiled with the turbo wheels. Cleaning is one thing I look at on mags and those mags don't allow getting the inside portion of the rim and back of the spokes clean. Those wheels do look really nice though.

If I remember correctly, Victor belongs to TSW. The mesh wheel looks small in 18 but not so much the tourismo or the new Zehn. Great wheels but boat anchors.
Carl I was curious so weighed a couple, top Victor Tourismo 18" vs bottom 19" stock Porsche.
Yes the 19" tires may be larger and heavier, but the difference hardly qualifies a boat anchor label for the Victors. They've served me well in three seasons of track use, and at a reasonable entry price.
That just sounds harsh..
If you have the means and the desire to pay, hell buy A/M in carbon Fibre...
I don't tie prestige or ego to my wallet. Like I stated Victor Equip are a great entry to a second set of dedicated track wheels. My driving skill will not be hampered at this stage by wheel weight, nor I will bet would 95% of the folk in here.
I don't understand why the term "boat anchor" is so offensive to you? We were being facetious. Yes, Pcars ARE expensive, just "own it". My point was specifically about weight, not Victor wheels. Anyways, why add weight, especially unsprung? I'm not saying that you need to spend $8K on a set of rims either.
I ask myself that every Thanksgiving, birthday, anniversary...
If a couple of hundred dollars were save a TON of weight and look as nice (or nicer), then MAYBE a consideration. There are lots of 2nd hand wheels out there - but most have a little (or a lot) of curb rash.
I doubt we'd notice much difference from the stock turbo twists. Besides, wheels are like watches, eventually you have one for (at LEAST) every season, occassion and in my case, one for every day of the week!!
Naaah, not at all offensive.... just harsh
and yes, everything about Pcars has degrees of expen$e.....
all I'm saying is that I could (and did) buy a set of new Victors and MPSC for the same or less than a set of forged wheels, and they gave no discernible disadvantage on the track... sprung or unsprung..!! My wallet was happy though
