Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

10 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

1 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

On my '99 I noticed when I turn hard left, right, or hard stopping, my horn goes off. I turned in to Lowes and it went off right in front of an attractive lady. Her boyfriend wasn't too impressed. I called my mechanic and he said the horn ring was bad. I took out the fuse until I can get it fixed. Anyone have that problem? How hard/much$$ is it to fix??

POST 2Original post

the parts about 50$ and the labor is about an hour at the dealer

POST 3Original post

You can likely fix it yourself. http://www.renntech.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=1728

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Fix it myself?? Where can I get some how to advice?

POST 5Original post

Click on the link that Loren provided above. More info than you can imagine on the DIY.

POST 8Original post

Pat - if you have not already signed up as a user/member to Renntech( www.renntech.org) , you should do so. There is a lot of technical info there, including many DIY fixes and mods.

POST 9Original post

I fixed this using Loran's method, more or less. A little silicon glue to reinforce the tired rubber washer/gaskets that support the airbag assembly is all it takes. Easy fix.

POST 10Original post

I did it too with the Renntech DIY. Easy peasy.
