They have a very reasonable cost of entry compared to most other org's and the folks running the events really care about your experience.

My next 2 events are with a different org so I will get a flavor for how different orgs choose to run their events which should be enlightening.

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.
15 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

Not racing, I'm not a great driver, The people I was on track with...also, not great drivers and the traffic was very frustrating. So I figured I would at least enjoy all the demonstrations of how superior Porsche is to all others by shaming them in this video. When you're reading about cars blowing up and this, that and the other about all the negatives... remember, right place, right time, right people - she'll straight smoke new corvettes...over and over.

And don't sleep on the Gigi video... If this does not put a smile on your face...

What was that red hatchback? Looks a little out of place. I had a older honda civic in my hpde and he raced the s-it out if it. Passed me early in the day but he was also the only one to go off the track.
So can u pass anywhere on that track? When i did a hdpe at lighting at njmp we had passing zones and none were in the corners. I too am not a great driver so my first 2 secions at njmp i was getting passed a lot becsuse it was my first time in that track and i was running intermediate group. I also noticed a lot of heavy braking as people pointed u by, i dont think i hit my brakes to allow a pass, i may not have gone as fast as i could in the section of track but i was still "racing". Seems like that group was scared. U deff need to move up a class.
I live local in CT. Usually run intermediate instructed but could go solo... maybe Ill see you out there before end of season. What event you doing next?
Glad you liked it, At the time, I was a huge Tommi Mak fan and was into Evo's... Tommi Mak was fast but Gigi was a tarmac icon with a flamboyant style fitting an Italian racing driver. Always ***** to the wall and as a result, was known to wad the car up....occasionally... but when he got it right, he made those cars dance.
Not sure, I'm on the waiting list for the next TNIA at Thompson... Not sure I'll get on track for it. I am going to do some research over the weekend and try to get another couple dates lined up.
Thanks a lot, truthfully, it was not the video I was hoping to make after the night - I was pretty frustrated with a couple of the folks I was on track with that seemed to habitually be killing my laps, a silver miata with a roll bar and the dark vette in the video... the most memorable offenders, at one point it was a lap and a half before they let me by. My best lap of the night was a 1:26 where I got hung up before the straight... so there was more in it, the lap I was stuck behind them was a 1:49... Most laps of the night were mid 1:30's.
I could not get any kind of rhythm and although I had a lot of fun, did not feel like I made the type of improvements to my driving like I was hoping for.
So, I'll move up for the next session I get on at Thompson and hopefully the situational awareness of the folks on track will be better, I had really just figured, I had only done 5 sessions on track, that should make me a novice and that's why I signed up for that classification.
Anyway, enough complaining - I'm glad the video is entertaining, thanks for watching ! It was nice chatting with you out there and watching you represent the 996 crowd well.
You got that right Aaron.
I'm wait listed for intermediate on the 30th.
I will however be there on the 13th with MassTuing. Also got signed up for Palmer on OCT. 25th and am excited to see what everyone says is a really fun track.
Now I got to get pads and rotors in to get them changed out before the 13th... I think they would be OK but would rather have plenty of headroom to spare, plus its a good excuse to get a more aggressive set of pads on.
As I said, I should have moved up to inter for this event, based on the prior I knew I was faster than most of the other cars in novice by a fair margin but because of my vey limited experience, I stayed in novice and that was my mistake.
I have nothing but good things to say for TNIA - they are getting people on track, many for the first time (like me). They have a very reasonable cost of entry compared to most other org's and the folks running the events really care about your experience. I have not experienced anyone doing anything more dangerous than bad pass by etiquette even with the low experience level of people I have been on tack with.
My next 2 events are with a different org so I will get a flavor for how different orgs choose to run their events which should be enlightening.
And.. Wtihout the experience I would not have been able to make a video showing how much faster a 2003 Porsche is than a new corvette, someone should tell Car and Driver
