Read evidence and context

Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

7 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Whats a good price on a drop out m96 engine with 100k and ims replaced?

POST 2Original post

What displacement? Anything with a replaced IMS is likely going to be a full rebuild. Very few people are going to split the case for an IMS alone. You may be better off buying a short block from Porsche.

POST 3Original post

You are rolling the dice on any drop out, because you you are guessing what the internals look like.Unless the seller lets you treat the engine to an ivasive PPI. To answer your question ,it seems the prices do not necessarily reflect mileage that much.Sorry not much help on pricing.

POST 4Original post

I''m sorry....what kind of stupid question is this? No parameters, no background, no description, no history.....hmmmmm

POST 5Original post

If I’m the seller? $1,000,000. If I’m the buyer? Uh, you pay me to take it off your hands.

POST 6Original post

I paid $6K for my factory replaced 3.6 with 50K miles.

POST 7Original post

I wouldn't pay much for a 100mile engine. I would rebuild it(Nickies, IMS Solution, send the heads to Hoffman, etc) before replacing. Displacement does definitely make a difference here though.
