Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I purchased one of those Coolant Vacuum Fill devices (see pic below).
Leading evidence: 'Fill devices (see pic below)' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Fill devices (see pic below)' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

If you're ready to use an air compressor anyway, just use Ashai's method.

Refill with Porsche approved coolant using the airlift system.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I purchased one of those Coolant Vacuum Fill devices (see pic below).
Was watching videos on how to use it and was wondering why can't I use it to "suck" the coolant from the system?
Seems that while it's pulling the vacuum, it will dispense whatever is in there out the evac tube. (see pic)
Reason I want to do this is that it's a royal pain to drain the coolant from my 2003 Porsche 911. I'd rather not remove 6 different hoses and two drain bolts. 17 yr old car and all that...
Also, when you pull the vacuum and some hoses "collapse", that seems problematic cuz if the hoses are old, that may cause them to fail. I guess better they fail in the garage.
What do you'all think?
You could do it, BUT it could take about a year time to create enough vacuum in the system to convert the coolant from a liquid to a vapor and remove it if you cant keep the suction line in liquid. now if you could keep the suction line in the coolant continuous without catching air you also do it but it would impossible.
My best friend and workmate in the mid 80's Invented and Patented this(
https://fluidxchange.com/
) and it would do it, vacuum extract, and pressure inject coolant. But required a quick-connect or connection low on the coolant system that would need to be pre-installed or manufactured into the vehicle. He could never get a Big Manufacturer to accept the practice..He spent 250K on Patents in 17 Countries but it never really took off, just stayed a small company that he finally sold off after the patents had ran out..
I used the vacuum to refill mine, I don't think it would drain the system.
If you're ready to use an air compressor anyway, just use Ashai's method. One drain plug, one easy to access hose, and it drains all but heater core (5.5gal). Can disconnect a second hose if you really need the last 0.5gal out.

What do I think?
1. Raise the car up on stands or lift.
2. Remove the coolant expansion tank cap.
3. Remove the drain bolt on the engine and drain the coolant into 5-gallon buckets. Install and tighten drain bolt.
4. Refill with Porsche approved coolant using the airlift system.
5. Lift the pressure relief value on the coolant expansion tank.
6. Drive the car to remove any existing air bubbles.
7. Don't worry, be happy.
I have never met any other car owners more obsess about removing all the coolant from their cars than Porsche owners. Other car owners just disconnect as many hoses as they reasonably can, and let the system drain out.
Having said that, if you really want to get a lot of coolant out from the Porsche after you have drained from all the usual places, remove one hose from the bottom of the car (going to the front radiator), and apply pressurized air to the one side, there will be a lot of coolant coming out the other opening.
