Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I still purged about a third of a gallon just to freshen up/replace good amount of fluid.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Our local PCA just had a tech section at LMN motorsports. One of the topics was brake bleeding. The master mechanic recommends that in conjunction, we should bleed the clutch slave cylinder too. He said that its one of the most neglected maintenance requirements. I'm a stickler with my maintenance, and he caught me by surprise because I totaly forgot about that!! So this weekend, I will be bleeding the clutch slave cylinder.

POST 2Original post

Anyone have a pic of where this fitting/bleeder is?

POST 3Original post

I did mine in conjunction with bleeding the brakes a few months ago. you just have to get under the car and reach up, but was not too difficult of a job.

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

UPDATE: Bled the clutch slave cylinder today. I was surprised the fluid that came out was clean. The car has 23495 miles. I'm not sure if the previous owner did it. I got the car when it had 12600 mi. I still purged about a third of a gallon just to freshen up/replace good amount of fluid. I did bleed the system with both the clutch pedal all the way depressed(held by a piece of wood and the seat ) and with the pedal up.

This DIY link has a good illustration. http://www.renntech.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=7064 Good luck.
