Ok, before you pelt me with stale dinner rolls, I want to first state that I *have* read the Convertible Top Care thread in the 997 forum from 14.03.07... And the cleaning/care product, "RagTop" is not available here in Germany so... Porsche sent me an offer that for a trim UD$198 they will (I'll translate) "Complete cleaning of the top & impregnate according to Porsche recommendations, intensive cleaning of the top complete automobile top/roof, 2 special impregnation's". Doesn't that sound special? So if I buy Porsche product 999-901-062-40 and deote a couple of hours time and a bit of elbow grease shouldn't I be able to achieve the same effect ? Thanks.

I would think you could. I don't have a Porsche Cab but my wife has a MB CLK 320 Cab. A couple of hours and you should be able to clean it up nicely.

how bad is your top? if it's fairly good condition, just lightly wash it and treat it w a protectant. if it's pretty soiled and a light color, you may need a more extensive cleaning.
