Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I looked for a renntech article or something to that effect and didn't see anything that addressed this specifically (99-01 using 02+ xenon/bi-xenon)

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

2 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I know to put Xenons (non-teardrop) into a 99-01 if fairly simple, there is a retrofit kit with controller module and is cake. I know putting 02+ regular lights in a 99-01 just involves a wiring harness, and then assuming you have the sleds, fenders, etc that is easy as well. What about the 02+ upgraded lights, bi-xenons I think they are referred to as. What is involved in getting these to work? I don't think a retrofit kit exists, but is there a controller module to make high/low beams work correctly? I looked for a renntech article or something to that effect and didn't see anything that addressed this specifically (99-01 using 02+ xenon/bi-xenon) Brian

POST 2Original post

wiring harness is all you need...I have done exactly what you are referring to....my high beams, low beams and fog lights all work perfectly...
