Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

My 2003 996 Cab is coming off it's 4 year factory warranty in the next month. I also have 3 years of CPO warranty, which is coming off in the Summer of 2009. Since more items are covered under factory warranty than CPO, what should I do? Do you recommend I have the car serviced somewhere and look for any issues, so I can get them addressed? Do nothing? Any and all thoughts are appreciated.

POST 2Original post

Any leaks, oil or coolant should be looked for and if found addressed by dealer before warranty expired. My $.02

POST 3Original post

You could always pay for a PPI type inspection of your car to catch anything which might not be covered by the CPO.

Anybody... any good advice???

POST 5Original post

Can't you just bring it to the local Porsche dealer, explain that the factory warranty is ending, and that you would like them to give it a once-over to see if anything needs fixing? I'm sure they would love to have the chance to find something to bill Porsche for, no?
