Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Suggestion
The next time that I change my plugs I will definitely remove the mufflers first.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I just did the 3.6L PSE hack mod and will be taking the car to get them installed. Also, it's time for a 30k service but all I think I need to have done is the spark plugs. Before I get ripped off, I was wondering how much time a dealer/independent shop should be charging for the 2 things? Thanks,
The mufflers are a piece of cake. But the plugs are a serious PITA! Some things that might seem easy I just let the professionals do. In my case, I like to do as much DIY as I can, but the plugs I paid out of pocket for. I don't have my invoice in front of me but I can't imagine more than 1-2 hours of labor would be involved.
I just did my Plugs the past day and must say Ill do it again. It might take 2 hours next time
I took me 2 days to put it back together. Why you ask?
It probably should take about 3-4 hours the first time you do it. I say this because you will be trying to figure out which sockets and extensions you will be using. I must say after I found my universal joint it made life a lot easier.
Take the Exhaust cans out. Make life a lot easier
The part I had to sit and think about was removing the spark plug tubes. They say you can pull them out by your fingers, but for mine that was not happening. I came up with a mod to get them out. I took the spark plug socket and put electrical tape on it (sticky side up) then I jammed it in and twisted as I pulled it out.
The plugs were in ok shape (replaced all 6), but thats where things end. I found 4 out of 6 tubes were leaking and I had 2 cracked coils. I had the O-rings but had to wait until the next day to get the coils
I saved myself some money and I got to spend 2 days with my car. Its the only hobby I have these days and I enjoy it. If you dont like doing this kind of stuff and dont have all the tools you need I would let a Tech take care of it for you.
As Dell said it can be a PITA. I have battle wounds to prove it to.
The next time that I change my plugs I will definitely remove the mufflers first. It is about the only way to also remove the spark plug tubes without destroying your hands in the process. It also prevents you from damaging your coils since you don't have to contort them with pulling them out.
