Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

8 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

What is actually the difference, length of the tip or the bend? Ciao, J. PS. I know that the "S" and Turbo are different.

POST 3Original post

I think that it is the angle that the mufflers meet the tips.

POST 4Original post

the newer tips will fit the older car... they just stick out a little bit more.

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

How much is "a little bit more"? Ciao, J.

POST 6Original post

I almost put the newer tips on my car but was afraid that the exhaust pipe would be too close to the plastic bumper shroud and melt it. This happened to my friend's 993 when his shop mis-installed his tips on his car and they were resting against the bumper.

POST 7Original post

This probably happened to me. I've Schnell tips on my 2000 (probably post facelift) and the driver side tip sticks out about 1 inch more than the passenger side tip.

POST 8Original post

I think if I changed the rear bumper it'll be okay.... but I don't mind... spent enough on this car for right now...
