Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

0 original-poster resolution reports. Counts can overlap; they are not unique people or a success rate.
0 discussions have direct query context; 0 report a fix in that context. Other evidence may inherit the discussion’s subject.

yes it's jumping...I just asked him to check....Once you get intermix it will misfire and have rough idle..it will go away once you get above a few thousand rpm's....same issue with a leaky head gasket....its a simple check...why not rule that out.
Leading evidence: 'Check ...why not rule' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Check ...why not rule' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.
Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.
These are separate views of the same evidence. Frequency alone does not establish a fix, and these counts must not be added together.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I have a 99 c4 that after getting a supposed "bad tank of gas" has begun to caugh and sputter at lower rpms. If I am sitting at idle it runs a bit rough, but when i roll on the throttle it seems like it is miss firing and gets progressively worse (enter the flashing check engine light). Now the odd thing is if I keep my rpms above 2k when i begin to roll, it is almost completely gone.
I have had people say maybe a vacuum leak, maybe a bad MAF? Any insight would be great as my local shop was a bit baffled when I brought it in and labeled it bad as bad fuel and cleaned out my tank, injectors, ect.
Thanks
i have a few questions....have you looked in your coolant tank? what does it look like? Any coolant loss, or higher temps? your "flashing" CEL is generally a serious issue....a solid one is usually smog equipment related....if you have milky gunk in your coolant tank then you may have an intermix problem...

when you say flashing, is it like a cop trying to pull you over while you're doing a 56 in a 55 zone or does the light just stays on? because there is a difference...... one is take it to your deal soon, and the other one is get out of the pcar, spread em and expect an *** whooping....
So thats the ONLY reason for a CEL? Then why not call it a Damage to Cats light? I am sure that Posche in its wisdom has designed that light to mean more than that....
not necessaraly not bad or emmisssions, there are many things that can throw a solid cel.
from fuel trim to emissions to cam position to ambient temeprature ect ect
true Brad, thanks for the extra clarification. I was just trying to explain in a general sense (as the manual states as well).
Flashing CEL=Bad
Solid CE=Probably not so bad
