Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

2 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Going into local Porsche shop Monday for some upgrades. Pagid S Sport pads front and rear. Besides looking for the improved performance, the car had a minor right pull on the initial application of the pedal after repeated full ABS stops when they were very hot. After consulting with the shop it is my feeling the brakes are just at their limit and new pads with a proper bedding in procedure will probably do the trick. The car is a stock 911 Carrera on 19" wheels for the street. When using my second set of wheels I run Cup tires on 18" wheels. Am going to have the alignment adjusted to set up the camber more appropriately for that setup. That's it, pads and alignment but I am pretty clearly playing with the edge of a stock 911 performance envelope so these two things should really help a lot.

POST 2 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

The Pagid Sport S pads are what was recommended. Here is an online description I found. If anyone has comments I'd appreciate them. thanks. NEW Pagid "S" or "Sport" - This is a high performance compound with good fading characteristics and high cold friction. The most comfortable medium friction sport compound. The Sport Pad is street legal, rotor friendly and OE on various Ferraris and Corvettes. PAGID "S" Brake Pads are dipped in a anti-corrosion blue paint, with a layer also on the friction surface. This paint coating will disintegrate during the first braking applications without any loss of friction compared to our other non-coated compounds. In addition a majority of the "S" Line come with anti-noise shims. The "S" compound is the PAGID RS 4-2-1.
