Assuming your 996 rear wheels are 10" with a 65mm offset, here is how the 19" x 11" wide with 60 offset change from the 10" wheel:

Thanks for encouraging me to change the tires before burning them out.

I'm curious, (since you've got the same overall wheel+tire diameter I'm looking to run) have you had any warning lights come on or ABS issues?

Yeah, that's right you're running 19's with same size sidewalls as stock 997's so your 996 speedo should be slightly out of whack.

The ABS issues I was referring to is not that it stops functioning but rather that it starts to function erratically, however there is suppose to be a 5% margin to deal with irregularities such as running on a near flat tire etc.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Will these fit on a narrow body 996? 19 x 8.5 front and 19 x 11 rear
FRONT: Offset: 53mm, Backspacing: 6.92", Bolt Pattern: 5-130, Rec. Tire Size:235/35-19, Weight: 23.0lbs.
REAR: OFFSET: 60mm Backspacing: 8.39", Bolt Pattern: 5-130, Rec. Tire Size:295/30-19, Weight: 24.4lbs. These wheels came off an 09 911S
If it's the same size as the 997 turbo wheels I have it fits. Just a slight touch of the front skirt when turning at the stops. The car has front 235/35/19, rear 275/30/19. I saw anothers post on this site saying they had the 19 rear's at 295 like you are questioning. After using up these tires I might go wider in the rear. Let's see if the other running 19's will show up.
Tires are kind of not wide enough for the rims. Previous owner thing. Thanks for encouraging me to change the tires before burning them out. I really need to find out if they are 11's though so I can maximize my order on tires.
^That^ will definitely fit a 996 narrow body no problem
Here is a narrow body 996 running the same exact specs of the wheels/tires you posted down to the brand/style/tire size/offset

The fronts should fit without any problems
However, the rears will "on the edge" of fitting. Assuming your 996 rear wheels are 10" with a 65mm offset, here is how the 19" x 11" wide with 60 offset change from the 10" wheel:
Inside - there will be 8 mm LESS inner clearance
Outside - the wheels will EXTEND 18mm more than your current wheel.
That is approximately 3/4" more that the wheel will extend. The tires will probably be flush with or even extend past the rear fender well.
I would NOT recommend this wheel sizes for a 996 NB car.
Hey Pac 996, I was wondering about that, a 275 on a 11" rim?
But if you've got a 10" then it makes sense, from what I've gathered on my "wheel quest" a 295 will fit on your 10" rim.
I've been looking for some new rims (customized '04 C4S) and I've got to tel ya... between the fitments, style, off set, spacers, tire size, effects on speedo, ABS, 4 wheel-drive system etc. etc. my head is spinning!!
My real dilemma is go with 18" and a higher side-walled tire for a much needed softer ride (roads out here are killing me) but lose some of the looks since the tires would be narrower and higher, or go for the look with 19's but keep the same sidewall/ratio I've got now (stock).
FYI mile2424, if you do go with the '09 19's be aware the diameter will increase by 1" so this will have an impact on your speedometer and maybe your ABS (although I'm pretty sure there is a 5% margin on the ABS), I've got the same issues with both of my choices but decided to give it a shot.
BTW ivangene, AWESOME LINK!!! (wheel master) thanks !!!
Cheers,
Sid.
I'll look closer and see if another inch will fit in the wheel wells. I don't see any rim size markings. At least on the variety of turbo rims on mine if you get wider rims it only extends inside the wheel well not to wards the outside.
If you know a wheel that gets the ABS to quit please let me know. I don't like ABS that other manufacturers have put out and hope porsche didn't make a skip out on braking when needed ABS.
I've resigned to just having an inacurate speedo and spread my not caring into that error. Normally there is a little plastic gear in other manufacturers transmissions but I haven't heard of porsche having the capability of calibrating the speedo.
Yeah, that's right you're running 19's with same size sidewalls as stock 997's so your 996 speedo should be slightly out of whack.

Thanks!

+1 for that link - its like the best EVER !!
Sid and your search - if the roads are rough and you are having that as an issue I would not recomment 19's.... what tire presure are you running currently?
GL guys........
I've never gotten any ABS lights. It's just a wish to not have against ABS so I can use my fly by gyro's in my tail again. Had a work van go through a stop light one time because of ABS when I know it could of stopped with out ABS. I don't ever want to see that BS from the prosche.
In the month of owning this car it has had 33psi all around original from previous owner. 36psi all around then now 36 front with 44 rear. The only testing is taking in town traffic lights and other 90 degree turns at 25-35 or decreasing radius hwy ramps. I'm really disappointed with the factory optional 4 spoke leather wheel. I can't see my speed in tight turns.
The extra inch I'd go is in width not diameter. Normally not liking big 19, 18 or so rims but I'll suffer with these 19's
This is good advice from Tim.
I have 11 x 18 ET 65 rear wheels on my car with 295/30 tires and that's a pretty tight fit. My offset is 13mm more than stock on an 18" wheel. The wheels you are asking about extend an extra 5mm beyond mine AND are 19"
I don't believe you'll get them to fit right unless you go with a skinny rear for that width (like a 275). That's just not something I'd recommend doing.
Guys...that's my car...I've run this setup for ~2 years now over crappy NE roads without problem...note that I have Coilovers with the camber setup based on GT3 spec's...rear wheels tucked.....
