I believe the actual Volk Racing Time Attacks use a red sticker, no paint.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

25 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hey Rennlisters, I did a quick photoshop job and wanted to share. The photo is crappy cuz its from my phone, I will get better res photos once I wash the car. the wheels are Volk Racing TE-37 in Gloss Black. I plan to get the Evoms carbon smoked tail lights as well, they aren't that dark though.

POST 2Original post

Pretty cool wheels. I like the black and red best.

POST 3Original post

WOW...i was wondering what these would look like on a 996 with some bodykittage on it..they look great man! they look a bit small tho..did you chop the 17's on?

POST 4Original post

Who carries these for the 996? Are they hubcentric?

POST 8Original post

don't do the smoked tail lights, it looks so "rice" and I would go with mat black rims!

POST 9 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

DeAd-EyE - I attempted to make it appear to be 19" as I have 18" wheels currently and just made them a little bigger. I think it would be an accurate p-chop to simulate what 19"s would look like adybuncio - yes, it is THEhotel valet parking garage. I saw the new Audi R8 prototype too and took some pics while I was in Vegas if you guys are interested, I posted them on 6speed Porsche_Smile - yes volk makes the TE-37s in 5x130 only at the moment. Iim trying to see what I can do getting a custom set made for me. Takes about 3 months. Mr. C4 - they are carbon on the top and smoked on the bottom, look like this: I think they are pretty cool, only concern I have is that it covers the blinker part so people can't see your turn signals? I have to verify with evoms more wheel photochops to come...

POST 10Original post

still "rice" in my opinion. get the OEM white/red version.

POST 11Original post

I agree with Mr. C4, get the OEM white/red version.

POST 12Original post

If you really want to do the tinted rear lights, save your $$$ and have your local paint shop shoot them with a smoke transparent paint. This is exactly what the Evo lights are but at $495.-

POST 13Original post

STRASPEC: the only problem with the wheels you photochopped is that they arn't available with the concave centers for porsche, they have flat centers. any chance you could photoshop one without the concave centers please? here's an arctic silver car to work with too (Johannes's GT3) http://gallery.rennlist.com/gallery/...3desert?full=1

POST 14 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I know I plan to try and get a custom set one-of made for me because it gives an illusion the rim is larger than it actually is. I had the straight TE37s on my evo and even though they were 18s they looked really small. Johannes - my friend does the smoked tail lights for cheap, but I wanted the carbon part, not sure if its worth the 400 bucks though. I'm shopping around for some reasonable red and white rear lights also in the meantime.

POST 15 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hope you don't mind Johannes, I've always loved your car, before I got my 996. I actually saved this picture long time ago helped me fall in love with the mkI aero. Dead Eye - here's a quick p-chop job. I hope you can get the picture. Right now they only make 18" and 20" for porsche. I'll call them and see what they can do.

POST 16Original post

No worries! I don't get it when you say they are carbon at the top???

POST 17 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

the tail lights have a carbon fiber section for the upper part of the tail light.

POST 18Original post

STRASPEC: vividracing can get the TE37 in 19" and they have concave faces. cheers.

POST 19Original post

Is it possible to order VOLK with yellow stripe around like the ps picture above?

POST 20Original post

only customed for porsche. your better off getting the normal rims and then painting them urself locally

POST 21Original post

The yellow stripe is it normal paint and is it easy for a workshop to paint a circle like that, seems a bit hard if the wheel is not in pieces? (Kinda n00b when it comes to this) =)

POST 22Original post

i'm sure a quality painter can work around that (just paint them black first, then mask off the section and finish it off.but i'm sure there's a more hightech way of doing it).

POST 23 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I believe the actual Volk Racing Time Attacks use a red sticker, no paint. I originally thought it was painted, but found out it was a sticker. Maybe you could rotate it (slowly) on at a tire shop machine and paint it that way? I p-chopped some other wheels on the car, but so far I like these

POST 24Original post

TE-37's are available for our cars at TireRack in Ti Gunmetal.

POST 25Original post

www.hephaiss.com the infamous "rice" porsche uses volk rims..if you look at the lines of the car without the horrible front bumper and wing, you can see that black volks are particularly suited for the narrow 996
