Because it was the last production year of the C2 turbo and less then 500 were shipped to the states its value should def increase in the coming years.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

7 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I know I'm posting this on the wrong board, but I thought this was interesting. I watched the show "Appraise my Car" last night. They were appraising a stunning red over beige 1994 911 turbo, which is the last turbo car that didn't have all wheel drive. I was surprised to learn only ~ 450 of these cars were shipped to NA, AND a car in pristine condition is only worth 50 to 60K. The car had ~ 380 HP, 180 MPH, did 1/4 mile in 12.5 seconds and originally cost about 95K. According to the show the 94 turbo currently isn't a collectors car (on collectability they graded it a "C" on a scale of A to E) but they surmised it's value will definitely increase in the coming years. If I had the garage space I'd consider buying one as an investment and driving it on sunny weekends. Does anyone know if that 50 to 60K value is accurate?

POST 2Original post

Back when I owned my 964, I used to check out the Turbo's all the time - I think they're actually INCREASING in value, they were going in the 40's a couple of years ago. I personally think it's one mean looking mother, although I don't think it's too much faster than the 996. 0-60 was in the high 4's, which is where we are. Pick one up in cobalt, and post some pics.

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

They weren't saying it was decreasing in value, just that it wasn't currently a good "collectors" car. Because it was the last production year of the C2 turbo and less then 500 were shipped to the states its value should def increase in the coming years. Gotta love the whale tail.

POST 5Original post

That price is a little low for asking prices. I have seen them in the $70's but what they sell for you don't know. The early 964TT's are in the $40's but they have the smaller engine.

Kevin - thanks...great info. Now I'd like a 993 turbo too....400HP & 0-60 in 3.7 seconds!
