Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I've had two 911 Carrera coupes in the past and tracked both of them. I'm toying with the idea of getting an 03 Targa but concerned if the PCA will let me track it for DE. I didn't have a roll bar in either of the coupes. I'm not seriously into it. When I did it I probably did 5 events a year max.

POST 2Original post

In my PCA region they allow cabrios, I dont see why they would not let a Targa in the track...

POST 3Original post

I started DEs in my 2002 Targa, and it was perfectly capable and never a problem with any of the PCA groups with which I ran. You do not need a roll bar with a Targa, particularly in light of the design of the 996 Targa. I stopped using mine when I hit the white run group. At that point, I bought a dedicated track car because I wanted racing seats and harnesses, which would have required me to install at least a roll bar, which I felt would have turned my beautiful daily driver into a bit of a frankenstein that was no longer ideal for track or road. I do not regret my decision. If you only do DEs casually, I can't see why the Targa would not be perfectly acceptable.
