Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I live in this area and curious if they are reputable too...it is getting hard to trust anyone these days especially car repair places

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 2Original post

Come on, dish it. What happened? I noticed your post cuz I had both an 86 and an 89 turbo back in the day - how I miss them both.

POST 3Original post

POST 4Original post

i pass by their shop at least once a week and when Discovery parts was next to them i was there all the time. PI does great work and always has a dozen or so Cup cars in their garage being worked on. there must be a huge misunderstanding cause their service is top notch

POST 6Original post

You are aware that Bob Sanderson left PI and is now at Kinetic Speed Shop in Buford. Discovery Parts is still next door.

POST 7 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Kevin, you're one up on me! I was ready to made the following post below. And the people who, as I mention below, 'have taken their business elsewhere,' went to Kinetic. You're post is much appreciated. Thanks. John _____________ From what I understand, at one point Performance Imports was THE place to take your Porsche for repair and upgrades in Atlanta... Based on my recent experiences with Mr. Wendt and that shop, I find it very difficult to believe this is the case any longer, though admittedly I could be wrong. One of the former co-owners, whom I only know of as Bob, left over a year ago. Several people I've met with or spoken to told me they used to go there but have since taken their business elsewhere after his departure. Regrettably, this isn't the old Performance Imports people used to know... as best I can tell anyway.

POST 8Original post

John, You should drop by Kinetic sometime. They have a nice clean shop, and some guys very active in PCA working there. Very supportive people, and always some interesting cars on hand. They host PCA events as well. Good folks.
