Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

7 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I narrowed my pad selection to the HPS or HP+. Then went to order and noticed that the pads are identified for 1998 C2 and 1999-2004 C4S. I even checked Hawk's web site and found the same. Part numbers are HB290F.583 (rear) and HB291F.642 (front). Can I use these on my 2000 C2? Thanks, Jim

POST 2Original post

I just put the HPS on the front of my 02. Bought them from Performance Products. The also give a 10% PCA discount if you call in your order.

POST 3Original post

I can verify the front part number. I have them on my '99. $102.97 from AJ-USA, free shipping.

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks fellas. I think the confusion is with Hawk's product descriptions. I don't see it anywhere else where different pads are identified for the C2 and C4.

POST 5Original post

I've been very unhappy with HPS pads on the 996 and my S2000. They fade, they dust, and they wear, and I won't buy them again. I think you're far better off with stock pads. Just my two cents...

POST 6Original post

I have seen others say this and my experience is the exact opposite on both of my cars? I cannot figure out how different people can have such opposite experiences with these pads???

POST 7Original post

I have had no problems with them. I prefer them to the stock pad. Street and AX only however. Don't track this car.
