Well I did check the fuse and all were good. Although I did make sure they were all secure in there place. A few seem to be loose so I re-seated them. So far this worked as the blower motor is working again. Thank god because it is cold here. But I still want to know where the resistor for the blower motor is located. Thanks for the easy tip Maurice.

Have you eliminated the ignition switch as the problem? Turn the key slightly back to the left after started abd see if the fan kicks on.

It did not try but will keep that in mind. When the blower was not working. I didn't restart the car a couple of times which did not work. Now I am heading home from work so I'll see if it is still working. Just wondering, why would the ignition switch cause this problem?

never seen a blower motor restor fail on a 996, im going to to go with ign switch, does it feel diffrent then normal like its sticking, did you headlights work when the blower didint?

Yes. The ignition switch will cause the blower motor not to work. In my case it was the ac not blowing. The switch is easy to replace-15 minutes at the most. I carry a spare in the door bin. Currently on number 3.

Right now everything is working just fine. When checking the fuses there were a few that were lose. I'll keep the ign switch in mind if it happens again.
