I used an OEM silverguard too and lint wasn't too bad on the softtop as long as it's not flopping around.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

8 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Does anyone have any suggestions for a good indoor car cover for my 996 Cab. The covers I have seen look like they will shed and stick on the rag top material. Any suggestions? Thanks

POST 2Original post

You need something that is slick,--the worst material is something like flannel, as it will shed lint all over the top of the cab. Although flannel is nice for the paint it will drive you nuts trying to get the lint off the top.

POST 3Original post

Covercraft Dustop. No lint, good padding, not too heavy.

POST 5Original post

This is what I have used for 3 years..love it...no lint at all. It is not an outdoor cover, but who leaves their cab outdoors?

POST 6Original post

I have weathershield. It's an outdoor cover that is thin and protects water/moisture well. I used an OEM silverguard too and lint wasn't too bad on the softtop as long as it's not flopping around.

POST 7Original post

The OEM cover is perfect for a cab. The material is a soft synthetic meterial and there are felt linnings on the fenders, bumper, and rear deck...does not shed on cab top.

POST 8 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

jsaindc, What OEM cover are you recommending? -The Silverguard OR -The Weathershield I have heard stories about the flannal and fleece linned covers getting all over the softtop. This will be for indoor use only. Thanks
