This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

Generation: 20261026T122219Z · outcome-qualification-6. Deterministic extraction; no AI model inference. How we use sources

I would like to sticky a "New Owners Guide" to Porsche and Rennlist - If everyone contributes some useful data this will be a great tool to help out on those same questions we get over and over - To start if off, I will suggest the obvious - READ THE MANUAL - Porsche wrote it with you in mind.....some parts may be boring, but you might be surprised how many good things are in there. Second tidbit is to get yourself a membership on Rennlist and open the doors to all the areas. There is a search bar located on the top right-hand side of almost every page - use it and read posts that might point you in the right direction and if not, by reading them you will invariably learn something new anyhow. No-one is against posting questions or concerns... that is the purpose of the forum. By all means, ask questions...... Take a minute to post a new thread (thread tools are located next to the search bar) and introduce yourself and include a couple of pictures if you can along with any info you wish to share. I assure you, you will receive a very warm welcome! Third - Do the same at Renntech.org Click for Link - that site has a huge amount of data and I don't think any one here will disagree that a contributing membership there is also essential to your Porsche experience. Welcome to the world of Porsche, may your car bring you many happy motoring miles, and may you find some new friends and interests along the way. To people posting... please add tips and tricks from anything from washing and changing the oil, to checking basic items and warning indicators - Lets put some worthwhile reading down.....Post links of threads that you have found to be very helpful/useful to you also. or boot me to the back of the line

Right here we can add an acronym definition post... if people want to PM me them I will post them all on one posting so they are together. RMS - Rear Main Seal (a round seal that is located where the crankshaft exits the engine and is connected to the flywheel. The seal keeps motor oil in the engine, but is the subject of many discussions) IMS - Intermediate Shaft ( a shaft on which the cam chains are connected to. The shaft has a bearing at both ends. One of which is in the motor casting, the other is mounted to a seal plate that can be accessed by removing the flywheel. The bearing, bolt and seal on this end are the point of many discussions)
