Just bought new tires for the C4S and I have a question. Do I need to be concerned with where I have my tires mounted and balanced, or should any tire store be able to do it competantly? If so, can anyone recommend a local business? I'm in Portland, Or. Thanks for your help!

I use discount tire and they are awesome. I have estblished a fantastic relationship with them over the 6 months I have been here. They really take care of me and know me by name whenever I walk in. As well, they are VERY careful with my rims and actually take pride in my wheels as if they were their own. I will forever use them for my tire business in the future.

Maybe I'm wrong here, but isn't a "Beisbarth aligner" for aligning your car? I'm just looking for someone to mount my tires (with no scratches) and balance the tires well. As for "Roadforce" balance. When I was in the tire industry (about 6 years ago) these road surface style balancing machines didn't really do any better than a standard static balance. Of course that is just from my personal experience. Technology may have improved since then... Also, how fast have you guys had your cars with no vibration from the tires?

I'd go to the dealer and make them responsable. Few independent shops will have the latest tire machines and balancers that porsche will have.
