Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Leading evidence: 'Install b&m' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Adjust properly' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. +1 - This problem could be created on an SSK install if the cables weren't lined up or adjusted properly.

Suggestion
I agree with this view as the tranny will pop out of a gear that was not fully engaged, and not properly adjusting the shift linkage will cause this to happen.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Hey guys quick question for those with the BM SSK. I read that some SSK were poppin out of 2nd gear, especially if you accelerate quickly from 1st to 2nd. Just wondering if this is true. Cause one guy I guess got screwed and voided warranty and had to buy a new tranny
. I got my BM in last week just waiting to install, not what u want to hear when your ready to put it in haha. Other than that Ive heard nothin but praises for this SSk. Thanks
That happens (coming out of gear) on lots on different makes and models on really worn transmissions. The shifter i dont think has anything to do with it. I dont know if its when syncros are out, but on high mile cars with trans that have been beaten up you get that kinda stuff. The SSK should have nothing to do with that problem. How many miles were on your friends car?
I've only put 9K miles on mine, but never had any problems as you described. I agree with Perella...not so much a function of the SSK....more related to the tranny gears themselves.
Had this problem on Boxster S both before and after B&M install. Turns out the cables were not adjusted properly, nothing to do with B&M. Installed B&M on C2 with no problems. If you don't have the problem before the install and it crops-up after, then you probably just need to move the cable that controls front-back movement about 1/8" forward in the spring clip. You'll know exactly what I mean after you do the install. Best to test everything before putting the center console back together.
+1 - This problem could be created on an SSK install if the cables weren't lined up or adjusted properly. It's not the B&M itself, but rather a sloppy install.
