Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

On my 01 Cab I currently have H&R springs and Bilstein shocks. I'm thinking about upgrading the sway bars to the GT3 OEM versions. My understanding is that the front drop links need to be switched out to a shorter version, but the back ones can remain. My questions is around the droplinks. Schatz motorsports offers the Gt3 bars with modified droplinks (assume they cut the stock links and reweld). How importants are the droplinks in comparison to the bars themselves? If I upgrade the bars and use the same rear and modified front links, will I still feel a difference? Or do I have to get the heavy duty links like TRG, Racer Group, Agency Power to feel any difference in the body roll? I don't track the car but do what to reduce some of the roll.... Thanks, Will

POST 2Original post

The bars are what's going to make the change the handling of the car. You can use the shortened stock drop links on the car BUT you still won't be able to adjust pre-load on the front bar which you can do with the fully adjustable links from TRG or Agency. So depending on where the bar is set in it's adjustment range you may or may not have preload on the front bar. I'll let others expound on the characteristics of a preloaded sway bar as I don't fully understand or feel qualified to expound on it's effect on the handling of the car. Andy
