Hi, I saw a vehicle which was registered when it had 4600 miles on it. Does this mean it was used for racing before that?

A 2000 hard top with that many miles can be purchased in the low 30s. I bought a 2000 C2 Cabriolet with new rims and new Pirellis, in great condition, as well as a CPO Warranty for $45k one year ago. Do a lot of searching here and you'll get good information on real world prices. People tend to price these cars really high in hopes that an uneducated person shows up and pulls the trigger. Maybe the owner is not in a rush to part with the car but will do so if they get a big premium for it.

Look at cars offered on eBay, including completed sales. I am not suggesting buying there necessarily, but it is a good source of information. People tend to take really good care of these cars. Immaculate ones are not that hard to find. Welcome to the addiction.

It's about 2-3k less than market at least. Could be more if the condition is prestine and loaded w options. Make sure service and warranty history does not indicate engine replacement or repeat RMS oil leak. Also, the 30k service should be done and if not factory in $800-1k. Get an inspection done too.
