Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

It comes with a can of compresses air and if you run out you can hook it up to your tire and use the air from that.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

2 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Has anyone else tried this? I spent all yesterday trying different methods. I tried the toothpick, paint brush from the sample paint, paint brush from art store that I cut down. None of these worked well, at least not for me. I went to the hobby store and bought an airbrush kit for $30 it came with everything I needed, I figured that I would not need the type that runs off a compressor being that I will probably only use it a couple times a year. It comes with a can of compresses air and if you run out you can hook it up to your tire and use the air from that. It works well for me and I will have to write a how-to with pictures after I get a little more practice with it. I found that I get an even layer with no bumps in it; also it works well for really big chips.

Some detail shops will do airbrush paint chip repair and I've had good luck with it in the past. I saw more of it when I lived in CA. Seems to be less prevalent here on the east coast.
