Congrats on the purchase, love the aero 996 in red...make sure you request to have that name changed when she is at your home.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I've been lurking here for some time now and passively looking for the right car. Well I couldn't pass up Rob's (cupcar#12) beautiful red '99 Aero car. As of last week the car is officially mine and awaiting transport from WA to Ohio. I look forward to more actively participating in this forum as an owner now.
Here's a picture of the car in WA...I should have my own pictures in a couple of weeks.

Haha, thanks dallas! But I am in the process of working a deal on

as we speak.
Wish me luck. I hope it passes PPI!
Andy, Where are you at in Columbus? I work in Dublin 3 days per week and also have a 1999. We should get together sometime. I would love to see that car in person. It looks great from the photos. Congrats and enjoy. My local cell is [phone removed]. Also, I know a great indy that used to work at MAG that can do work for you that might be over your head. Give me a call.
Thanks Dallas,
The seller tells me that there is someone else who is also very motivated to buy from the Scottsdale area. I really hope I can be the buyer though. I'm ready to fly down with the cash this coming Sunday assuming the car passes a PPI. I guess we'll see~
I think after my last experience, I deserve it.
Congrats, dude. I can vouch for Rob just like I did when you messaged me.
It's good that the 99s have the LSD and are generally lighter. That three spoke steering wheel if I recall correctly is the euro OEM option or something... slightly smaller and thicker than the common three spoke we get here. I really like that full leather too. IMO, a must.
I'm still looking for that perfect '00, '01.
mona, even if it has some minor flaws or leaks (it's there job to point out problems and all cars will have something wrong, always.) it's still a very low price. Don't get scared if it has a minor leak or rms or something. It's really not a big deal and the car is very inexpensive. Hopefully it's in good shape and the body looks good.
I still really like the red aero in this thread!
Red wasn't even on my radar...until I saw this car and just couldn't stop staring at it. Had to be mine.
Thanks for all of the compliments guys...sorry if I've got alot of introductory questions hopefully I can learn quickly without too many pestering questions. Luckily I know how to use the search button!!!
