Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I used Bridegstones and Michelins because they were sticky.

Maybe some Michelin Pilot Sport Cups...or even some Kuhmos, just not and ALL-season/snow/hard/cord-showing/plug-filled tires.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Anyone have some tires with a good amount of life left in them....stock 18-inch 8 and 10 inch wheel fitments of 225/40 and 265/35 or maybe 285/30 they need to get rid of?
Maybe some Michelin Pilot Sport Cups...or even some Kuhmos, just not and ALL-season/snow/hard/cord-showing/plug-filled tires. I have Michelins on my car now.....but they are BRAND new and not something I want to wear out at the track.
pony up the $17 for a membership and you will see LOTS of tires and tire wheels packages for sale in the memebers only for sale section...
also you have to be a member to buy and sell anyhow -
I'm familiar with the pay-to-play game.....and I paid plenty for my street tires. My suspension is stock for now and some take-offs would be nice to use while at the track while I get adjusted to this car. Once I'm comfortable with the car some mods and some new MPSC may come in handy.
....I bought my car from a fellow rennlister and PCA member.
....I bought my last Porsche from a rennlister as well.
you could get a membership from a Rennlister and round out the whole enchilada - you obviously know the benefit
BTW I was on the FS section yesterday and there are MANY MANY MANY tires for cheap cheap cheap........dont ya wish you could see those ads
I don't buy used for my K6 GSX-R1000. Some of the not so big name brands can get you there. Read some of the tire reviews not from sales outlets. Try the Continental ExtremeContact DW. Lots of tires you pay for the brands name. Per Eurotuners December testing the above tire beats the Micelin Pilot Sport 2 in testing and is 2 pounds lighter per tire.
I'd try the Continental ExtremeContact DW since it could leave the track rain or shine and still stand up to the rest of them. It's a newer design of tire where as many of the others unlike bike tires are just the same old design for cagers year after year.
Hey you got chicken strips on those car tires? hehehe
I've got a set of rears, Toyo R888's in 295/30/18 just sitting around. I was running them on 10" carrera wheels on my car
They were heat cycled new from the retailer, run for 16 heat cycles on my car (3 of those in the rain). Around 3-4/32's remaining on them. (6/32's new)
Toyo's a great DE tire. Not the fastest out there but consistant and great to learn on. Shoot me a PM if you want more info.
Andy
On my bikes I always had good, new tires because if they didn't stick I'd be sliding across the pavement. I used Bridegstones and Michelins because they were sticky. I am not attached to any brand of tire for my car or price range. Especially for DE/Autocross where there's nothing buy pride on the line.
Maybe I'll part with some cash for a membership and see what else is for sale.
