Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

0 original-poster resolution reports. Counts can overlap; they are not unique people or a success rate.
0 discussions have direct query context; 0 report a fix in that context. Other evidence may inherit the discussion’s subject.
Suggestion
If that is the case and they agree to let you test drive them for the day to figure out if you still have the vibration problem then I say go for it.
Leading evidence: 'Test drive them' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Test drive them' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.
Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I hope someone can help. Dealer says vibration at 78 MPH is tire balance issue. Independent performance folks with Hunter road force balancer have balanced tires 2 X. Any thoughts. Dealer wants $400 to swap wheels with another car (I provide wheels) Is there a "work on our cars day" in N. County where I could "borrow" someones tires?
Any help would be appreciated as I drive more than 150 miles per day. (most in excess of 85
)
Thanks,
B
Could be a bent rim. Was for me. Front & rear in my case, but apparently only the front matters. Have the wheels checked. If it's the rim, you can balance 100 times & it won't help. I put the new rims on, ZERO vibration at any speed, like a new car...
Did the wheels balance? Do you have a 2nd set you can compare with? If not, maybe somebody can help out. If you were local to me I would be happy to loan you my extra set.
Dell,
The tires did balance on a Hunter Road Force. I was hoping to find someone near San Diego that had a set of track wheels that I could borrow and install per your suggestion. If not I guess I'll have to eat the $400.00 the dealer wants to do the swap.
Thanks for help,
Bruce
When you say "eat the $400" what exactly are they giving you for $400??? Are you giving them your current wheels and they are giving you a new set of wheels? If that is the case and they agree to let you test drive them for the day to figure out if you still have the vibration problem then I say go for it. But if you still have the vibration problem with a new set of wheels then there may be something more serious than just wheels.
Dell: That is what they are proposing. Swap my wheels for ones off a car on the lot, drive the car for a day (I drive 150+ miles per day) to verify it's the wheels. I guess that's my best bet.
996 Pilot: Thanks for the tip about Newport, my office is in Aliso Creek so not far away.
Thanks for your suggestions,
Bruce
