Read evidence and context
Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Not sure, but people have been running 19's on 996's and Turbos for years....
Leading evidence: 'Run 19's' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Run 19's' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.
Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

OK..so my wheel saga has come to an end....I went with 997 Sport Design 19" rims, painted black.....Here are some pics....I was worried about rubbing in the rear, but the wheels fit PERFECTLY....no rubbing at all...I'll need spacers in the front to push them out a bit, but the rears are perfect.....The caps will be done next week and please excuse the dirty car..lol...it goes in next week to be polished.
My compliments........works well with the car (and I'm a guy who likes lips but that looks good).
Curious about your hard top........it looks good.......but I'll bet you're atypical there in CA
Newport I HATE YOU!!!
Those rims are EXACTLY the ones I LOVE
and my wife won't let me get black rims!!
because she thinks they are to sporty (go figure!!) I am trying to change her mind (together with my son) we both love black rims.
MAN THOSE RIMS REALLY FINISH A BLACK PORSCHE..WHICH IS NOW WORTHY OF THE TITLE:
QUADRUPLE BLACK!!!
I know Tim...you can't live with them and you can't live without them......the problem is that I kind of value her input..and maybe she is right...but then when I see Newports pics...I have to say that I love the look a lot!!
Doesn't do it for me, way too busy. Why play around with widths and spacers when you can have wheels that fit perfect. Wheel bolts appear to be corroded.
I may be off my rocker, but how could 19" wheels mess up the geometry if the rolling diameter of the tire is the same as OEM?
Nice wheels by that way, they look really agressive in black.
Sorry to say but its true for the 996 if you're fitting 19s. Causes a lot of bump steer. You need some serious mods to the linkages and suspension arms to get it right. Not noticeable to an average driver, but big concern to the engineers. There was a good article about this early last year in Excellence magazine.
