Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.
Discussions that report identifying a cause
1
0 original-poster resolution reports. Counts can overlap; they are not unique people or a success rate.
0 discussions have direct query context; 0 report a fix in that context. Other evidence may inherit the discussion’s subject.
Reported cause
Several years ago when at the Porsche racing parts shop at Werk II I noticed a slightly modified Vanagon (Transporter) in the parking lot of Werk II,--with some telltale vents not found on a normal transporter,--it was the vehicle Porsche takes when they have several engineers that need to go someplace in a hurry.
Leading evidence: 'vehicle porsche takes' (1 discussions report identifying this cause; no attributable repair resolution). Across 1 matching discussions, the most frequently mentioned possible cause is 'vehicle porsche takes' (1 discussions; 1 report identifying it and 0 suggest it). No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.
Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.
These are separate views of the same evidence. Frequency alone does not establish a fix, and these counts must not be added together.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I blinked twice when I heard the price!!! OMG for a minibus! 273km/h top speed. Given the higher center of gravity, I don't know how I would feel taking sharp turns.
did you see the video?? that van did great in sharp turns...the first question in my mind got answered in the video...!!WOW..but for 168.000 euro, which is about 190.000 US..I buy the 997 turbo and give my wife and kid a plane ticket to the destination (so they can't bitch that I am driving to fast!!)
Already did
I don't know why, but when I saw the oil filler cap in the wrong place, I figured it must have been the coolant cap instead. I stand corrected
Wunderbar!! As a VW Vanagon driver for nearly as many miles as a 911 driver I can appreciate this considerably!
Sign me up! Anyone got a small 996 wasserboxer engine that I can buy to drop into my Vanagon?
Dan
997 S Cab on order
the guys in the VW shagginwagon on the gumball last year had a bus powered by an old aircooled engine. Kept overheating and broke down in every country till they made some makeshift ram air scoops
shot flames everywhere and got them out of a speeding ticket because the german cop couldn't believe that the van could do that much speed.
