Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

So finally painted my callipers red but not without a fight. My lug key cracked and was unable to take the right rear wheel off. I called porsche for a replacement but they dont carry them in stock. They have to order the lug key which takes a week to come in. I wasnt going to drive with three red calipers for a week. So took a drive to porsche and had them take the lug off. Here comes the crazy part. As im pulling into the drive way. My check engine light comes on. I couldnt believe it. I pull up to the serivce window and my idle is at a steady 1200 rmp. Reved it once and was sticking around 1100-1200 but finally dropped back down to 800-900 rpm. Idle still seems unsteady. Car feels like its running ok. I called my mechanic hes gonna charge me $ 125.00 to hook my car to the lap top and see whats wrong. If i fix the problem with them they will credit the $ 125.00. What do you guys think. What the hell is going on. Your expert opinion is appreciated.

POST 2Original post

CEL could be a MILLION things... go to autozone (if you don't have an OBDII reader)... they will scan your car free of charge. Get the code and report back here. Too hard to judge based on your story
