If the injectors were easier to replace, I wouldn't give it a second thought but because they're kind of a PITA, I'm wondering if I should take a chance or not.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

9 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

First, I'm not one of those people that automatically dismisses everything made in China as crap. Also, I'm not questioning whether the injectors are genuine or counterfeit. They check out on Bosch's website and with the Tec-identify app. If the injectors were easier to replace, I wouldn't give it a second thought but because they're kind of a PITA, I'm wondering if I should take a chance or not. I just don't know what kind of quality control Bosch has at their Chinese factories.

POST 2Original post

Would you buy an iPhone? Those are made in China. If Bosch has their brand on it and you can verify it's not a fake part, which you did, I wouldn't worry about it.

I'm an Android guy and I've never been a fan of Apple products so no, I wouldn't buy an iPhone. Seriously though, I get what you're saying. I'm just speculating that quality control for a new $800.00 iPhone might differ from quality control for a $28.00 injector that only fits an old car with a limited production run.

Bosch isn't what it used to be. Riding on their reputation, and going the way everyone else has, as a general rule.

POST 9Original post

The safe thing,, IMHO,, is to buy your new injectors with a Bosche box,, then send them to a specialty shop for flow testing. Change them every 4 to 5 years.. especially on cars that don't get driven unless you can totally avoid Alcohol fuel and use a good stabiliser,, I screwed up this fall and forgot to drain the fuel lines and carbs on my bike.. UGH lots of work..
