Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Hi,
I've been waiting for one of the summer sales from the usual suspects to come along but alas, none. I'm specifically looking for the MKI nose and side skirts but all I find in my search is MSRP. Anyone know where I can find a deal? I don't want knock-offs either.
Bueller... Bueller... Anyone???
Have you tried the old fashioned way Joe? Just calling a few places (Sunset, Suncoast, etc.) and see what's the best deal you can get. That will be the best place to start from.
I can tell you I got mine a couple years ago from Brandywine (when there were better people working there....not the case anymore) for $1500 for the front and $500 for the sides.
Sorry for slightly off-topic questions and comments:
1) saw the extact same car as mine without the side skirts or front aero at my health club recently (2000 c2 Cabrio/Black/Black Top) and I gotta say mine looks way better. I think you'll be really happy once you get it done.
2) Anyone experienced or have a remedy for the skirts pulling away slightly on the top? Doesn't seem to be any sort of issue or even look that bad unless you open the door and look down at the skirts, but I'm worried that road debris could slide into the skirts or that maybe the separation could worsen. Are they supposed to sit tightly inside the channel?
I bought the car recently, and since the aero kit wasn't listed on the sticker or on the option code list, I'm guessing it was done after-market, or possibly by the original dealer.
Hi Dell,
I've been a bit "mod slow" recently due to some vacation but in the past week+ I've called Suncoast/set as well as all the local dealerships (!@#$) and checked out Excellence with no deals to be found. My wife has warned me that my mod $$ is in a low-performing account and if it sits there much longer, it'll end up at Prada.
Thanks, I'll try Bwine straight away. But, I was hoping some of the rennlist "watchers" had seen something and could tip me off.
Yes, genuine parts are a must! I was warned by my body shop to buy only real Porsche body parts due to fitment issues.
If I find anything, I'll post...
The nose is genune Porsche, not sure about the side skirts but I believe they are Porsche. The tail is MA Shaw's part. I have used his pars on other cars and have had no issues. He is a great guy to deal with.
Regarding the gap: I used 6382 3M Automotive Acrylic Plus Attachment Tape with success. I also have some 3M VHB but I don't know the number on that. You can rotate the top side closer with just the front and rear bolts in but loosened, as you stick the top edge. Then tighten all the underneath bolts as you hold it snug in place at the top, to minimize the gap. I did notice that one of my skirts was not quite as cooperative as the other, just from the mold I guess.
If one of my "skirts" isn't cooperative, I just kick her out and tell her not to bother to.... oh wait.... you were talking about rocker panels weren't you! NEVER MIND!
Hi Jammy,
Their website lists prices that are about the same as my body shop can ge. Thanks for the pointer though! I may end up just taking the plunge (and getting raped) before my wife spends the loot.
Gentlemen, start your engines!
I found the MKI GT3 OEM front bumper at DART auto for $1007.00. I talked to Dave, the owner, very easy to deal with. No affiliation, just a customer. [phone removed]
Yup, I believe the nose and small (heavy!) tail combo works.
I'm still in the hunt for MKI rockers if anyone knows where to find them on the cheap! DART auto's price was more than my body shop would charge.
Joe - you might want to call BW Motorsports in Ohio at [phone removed]. They run an ad in Excellence magazine every month. September issue ad (page 53) has a price of $725.00. I have seen them run a "special" price of $625.00. It might be worth a phone call. I am not affiliated with BW Motorsports in any way, but I am thinking of getting side skirts in the Fall, so I too have been looking for a good deal.
Hey Jammy, thanks for the kind words....
We have the front bumper and skirts (factory genuine) on sale.
$1700.00 for the both the bumper and skirts....
$150.00 freight, as the box is too big for fedex or UPS.
Cheers

Just got a complete factory MKII aero kit from Suncoast for $3200. There was a slight ding on one corner of the deck lid which they repaired.
Dayton,
They shipped the nose and wing and rear deck lid in one box and the the skirt boxes taped together as one package. That's a great price on the nose and skirts!
Dell - You put the MK II spoiler on yours right? Or was it GT3? I was wondering if the MK II lip would fit directly on a std. 02 bumper?
Do you like yours?
