This is not a probability of success.

I might be wrong here, but I think the Porsche added Cobalt in 2002 to replace Zenith (which some say has too much purple...).

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

11 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

The other day I was following a 996 turbo on my way home that was blue. I don't really know how to describe it, but it was a light blue, and very bright almost pastel? I was wondering if this is a factory color and if any knows what it might be? I didn't know what to think about it at first, but it certainly catches your eye. After following it for a little while though, and seeing it from different angles, it was actually kinda cool. Does anyone know what color I am talking about?

POST 2Original post

Zenith Blue? https://rennlist.com/forums/showthre...ht=Zenith+Blue Cobalt Blue: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Porsc...spagenameZWDVW Porsche also had Iris Blue. There was a Horizon blue in the mid 90's that was very similar to the 997 PCA Club Car color which is more of a pastel looking blue or Metallic Baby blue. Any color for the most part could be a paint to sample color. Edit: Sorry posted before I could find my links

POST 3Original post

I believe that the TT that Sandoval posted above is Cobalt, not Zenith. I might be wrong here, but I think the Porsche added Cobalt in 2002 to replace Zenith (which some say has too much purple...). That was my first thought about the color that 87 944 referred to.

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks for the replies, but I think I found it on a 968. If this is not the exact color, its pretty close. Does anyone know the name of this color and if it ever came stock on a 996tt? TIA!

POST 5Original post

looks like Gulf blue - it is not a standard color.

POST 6Original post

on a 968 Riviera Blue Common color for the 968CS in Europe. Yes it could be special ordered on a TT. I have never seen one. But I have on the 996 C2

POST 7Original post

I have seen it on a 996 that was special ordered through HBL in Tysons, VA. The person that ordered it backed out and they sat on it for a few months...it was posted on ebay. In person the Riviera Blue is much better than it may appear in photos. Herer is a Boxster in Riviera Blue

POST 8Original post

I thought it was something like "Mexico Blue", (Code L21M) . EDIT: added image of car color I am talking about.

POST 9Original post

ZX that is not mexico blue or just a bad picture not showing true color. It looks like it is closer to Mint. First pic is MINT another 90's color available on the 968 Second Pic is a Riviera Blue 968CS that was imported into the US Third Pic is a 997 Mexico Blue, Mexico Blue and Riviera Blue are very close in color.

POST 10Original post

I guess my eyes are bad, & so is the picture. The pic I posted is of a car I was looking to buy & it did look like the car in your last picture. This was the original color of the car....1987 911. - Cam

POST 11Original post

Is this color? I saw this GT2 at RUF couple weeks ago... it is called Gulf blue...in memory of legendary 917...
